I’m Marilyn San Germán — a costume designer, corsetière, wig and makeup transformation artist with a lifelong love of storytelling through style.

After years of working in the beauty and creative industries in the United States, I settled in rural central France to build Atelier San Germán: a small, independent studio dedicated to handcrafted pieces, thoughtful upcycling, and intimate, cinematic experiences.

My work blends:

• Historically inspired silhouettes (Victorian, Edwardian, 18th century, and more)

• Fantasy and character design

• Wig styling and makeup transformations

• Sustainable sourcing: rescuing fabrics, trims, and objects from château clear-outs, flea markets, and other second-hand sources

Each project is made to order, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, detail, and comfort — whether it’s for a photoshoot, a special occasion, or simply because you’re ready to become the main character of your own story.
